Jessica Davies has been practicing physical therapy since she graduated from UW Madison in 1996. She is recognized as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and has been involved in the fitness industry since 2000. Over the last decade she has focused mostly on pilates and yoga practices, receiving her 200RYT in 2005 and 500RYT in 2012. She is actively involved in the Tosa area teaching anatomy and applied kinesiology to yoga teacher trainees.
Jes' treatment approach involves active listening, traditional assessment, and movement analysis recognizing that often improving awareness of how we position and move throughout the day can have a big impact on how our body feels. She believes in life-long exercise and encourages alignment-based principles to support healthy movement both now and for years to come.
Jes is an excellent addition to the Body Mechanics team adding certifications in both dry needling and completing her certification as a Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) in 2014 from Institute of Physical Art, a designation that all of our staff members have earned.
Over the last 3 years Jes has developed a desire to help more Woman’s health patients. She has studied with a local pelvic floor therapist and will be completing her full certification through Herman and Wallace over this next year. As a recent breast cancer survivor she has directly learned the unique needs of breast cancer patients, and wishes to help others who have walked in her shoes return to pain free, high level function.
Jes has a caring and compassionate attitude that is contagious to the rest of the Body Mechanics team. She has quickly developed a growing list of appreciative clients and referral relationships.
